Synopsis:  Lauren Jeffreys has a problem.  As a 6th grader at Michael Whitaker Middle, she doesn’t have a group to call her own, and Sam, the school’s notorious bully, is working overtime to make sure she doesn’t find one.   It isn’t long, however, before young Lauren discovers that what she doesn’t have in common with many is exactly what she has in common with a few.  So, she rallies together a group of outcasts, affectionately labeled “zeros” by their classmates, in an attempt to force Sam to back down before they lose something much more valuable than lunch and lunch money – self-esteem . . . and their tree house.

The “Zeros” are calling, so pick up the phone, or better yet, pick up a ticket and come root for the underdogs in this hilarious tale of growing up on the inside when you’re trapped on the outside.  Cheer on these unlikely heroes as they learn to disarm a bully without ever becoming one.  How?  By positioning themselves in the right place, Zeros tremendously add value and never take away from it.
