History

NWP is a not-for-profit theatre company based in Nashville, TN.  Dedicated to the highest standards of education and entertainment, we offer performances of original theatrical productions specifically designed for student groups and their families.

Our desire is to foster healthy decision-making and model vibrant lifestyles by illustrating moral truths.  We accomplish this through modern-day stories so intriguing that children and youth genuinely enjoy the show and, thus, readily embrace the message.

NWP was founded as a traveling company in February of 2000.  Our first offerings were half to full-hour music and drama multimedia presentations that were carried to schools and other venues throughout the mid-south.  In 2002, we produced our first feature-length play, complete with stage lighting, elaborate set and 20-member cast and crew, taking the show to schools in Stewart, Davidson and Marion counties in TN.  Since then, our shows have been seen by audiences at the historic Belcourt Theatre and at the more modern Rocketown in Nashville.  Currently, we produce two plays a year – one in a traditional theatre setting and one that travels to area schools.
